Possession

On Friday, Sept. 26, at 12:15 a.m., a Residence Life staff member reported that two underage residents of Johnson-McFarlane Hall had been contacted for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol.

Campus Safety’s investigation of the scene confirmed the report of alcohol use. Suspected drug paraphernalia was also identified in the room of one of the suspects. A referral to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition is pending.

Ill student

On Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2:25 a.m., a DU student reported that another DU student was ill and in need of assistance in a room at Centennial Halls. The Campus Safety officer on the scene called for Denver paramedics who determined that the student was unable to care for herself.

During the paramedic’s assessment of the student, the student became combative and was transported to detox for monitoring. A referral to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition is pending.

Broken window

On Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11:55 p.m., a DU student reported that unknown person(s) had broken a window of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house where he resides. The reporting party stated that the vandalism may have been retaliation for an incident which occurred the previous Thursday. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Non residents

On Sunday, Sept. 28, at approximately 3:05 a.m., a DU Residence Life staff member/student reported an incident of disorderly conduct on a floor in Centennial Halls. The staff member/student reported that, upon investigating a loud music complaint in one of the building’s rooms, he was confronted by two disruptive male non-residents. The non-residents fled the scene prior to the arrival of Campus Safety. The residents of the room were contacted and questioned regarding the incident. A referral to Residence Life for disposition is pending.

Car accident

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 4:05 p.m., a DU staff member reported that she had been involved in a traffic accident with a DU student the previous afternoon. The accident reportedly occurred when the DU staff member exited the alley onto the 2300 block of E. Warren Avenue at the same time the DU student backed her vehicle from a parallel parking space on the street. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Streaker strikes

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, at approximately 11 a.m., Campus Safety contacted a DU student who had reported an indecent exposure incident to Denver police the evening of Saturday, Sept. 27.

The student related that she and her roommate were walking home on the aforementioned evening in the 2300 block of S. Josephine Street, when they became aware of an unidentified male walking behind them who was naked from the waist down. The student related that she and her roommate then entered their residence and called Denver police to report the incident. A Denver police and Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
