The Clarion is planning to introduce a regular column on Greek doings and goings in the fall with the help of the Greek community.

In a letter to the Clarion, Kevin Fredrick, president of the Interfraternity Council, said, “The Greek community is glad to join the Clarion and we look forward to utilizing the paper to communicate with the student body.”

The IFC, which represents the eight fraternities, and the Panhellenic Council, which represents the fine sororities, have been designing the recruitment process.

The IFC and Panhellenic Council will also be working on programs that will benefit all DU students and working to find ways to bring students together.

“Friendship, leadership, scholarship and service are the core of our Greek community and the force that binds all Greek houses together,” Fredrick said.

Students wishing to contact Fredrick or get involved with the Greek community should e-mail him at kfredric@du.edu or Megan Fullerton, the Panhellenic president, at mfullert@du.edu.

Panhellenic Council meets every Monday at 4p.m. in the Commerce Room on the second floor of Driscoll North.

The IFC meets at 5 p.m. at the same location.

Greek or not, student attendance at these meetings is encouraged. The meetings discuss what is going on with the Greek houses.

A student wantingb to make a presentation to either council should contact a council member at x13831.
