DU women’s gymnastics traveled to Morgantown, W.Va. on Sunday to compete in a Big 12 matchup vs host West Virginia and Iowa State.

Denver won the day, scoring an impressive 197.350, which was a 1.675-point lead from second place Iowa State (195.675) and a 2.100 lead on the host West Virginia (195.250). Senior Jessica Hutchinson won the beam and floor events and took the all-around title for the fourth straight meet. 

Bars:

The girls started the meet off on bars with a new program-record road score of 49.600. Senior Rosie Casali led off with a score of 9.850, while sophomore Kiley Rorich, junior Mia Hebinck and senior Rylie Mundell all scored 9.900 on their routines. Hutchinson received a 9.925, while freshman Madison Ulrich received a near-perfect score of 9.975. 

West Virginia received a 48.475 while Iowa State got a 48.950 on bars. 

Beam:  

The team moved to beam next, where senior Abbie Thompson led off with a 9.725. Freshman Maddison Reidenbach had a fall on the beam but still managed to keep a 9.100 score. Junior Momoko Iwai followed with a 9.875 and Casali received a 9.775. The final two gymnasts led the rotation with Ulrich collecting a 9.875 and Hutchinson with a 9.950. The team finished the rotation with a total score of 49.200. 

West Virginia scored 48.500 on beam, and Iowa State received 48.800.

Floor: 

The third rotation saw the athletes on floor. Rorich led off the rotation with a 9.825. Iwai followed with a routine scoring a 9.800. Reidenbach scored another 9.825 while Casali scored a full 0.100 higher; a 9.925. Ulrich and Hutchinson finished the rotation scoring 9.900 and 9.925, respectively. The team finished floor with an overall score of 49.400. 

West Virginia received a 49.250 while Iowa State got a 48.975 on the floor. 

Vault: 

The gymnasts finished the meet on vault which sophomore Mila Brusch led off, scoring a 9.850. Freshman Amanda Hargraves made her NCAA debut on this rotation scoring a 9.825. Reidenbach scored the same while Ulrich scored a 9.800. Casali and Hutchinson finished the rotation scoring a 9.850 and a 9.775. The overall team score for vault was a 49.150. 

West Virginia scored 49.025 on vault and Iowa State received a 48.950.

The girls hope to continue the win streak vs BYU in Utah next weekend. They will travel to Provo, Utah for their dual meet on Friday.
