Let me tell you something—the “Pioneer ID,” DU’s student ID, does some magical things. We’re talking discounts, special offers and key access to cool buildings on campus you didn’t even know existed.

So what can your Pioneer ID get you in particular? Besides being a key to most buildings on DU’s campus, your ID can also be used as a debit card. You can log on to U.S. Bank’s website to access this feature and activate your ID.

Additionally, Flex money can be added to your ID’s account in order to purchase things on campus and from certain businesses in the area. Stores from the Smiling Moose to 7-Eleven will gladly take your flex money. Most stores that take this form of payment have a little sign in the window or by the register that shows they are a Flex location. Flex money can be added to your card through your meal plan type or through the University of Denver.

Most importantly, your Pioneer ID can get you an entry discount at almost every museum in Denver, in addition to the Denver Zoo and many movie theaters. So long as you have your ID on hand, you can access discounted tickets at these places. Also, let me tell you a secret— your student ID doesn’t have an expiration date listed on it, so you can use it until your hair turns grey and you can’t hide that graduation was thirty years ago.

The possibilities of your Pioneer ID are numerous. So go explore and find out what more it can do for you.
