Fall is in full swing and Denver is ready. Between sports games, haunted houses, museums and races, there is no time for boredom. Here are a few events coming up that you don’t want to miss.

The Frightmare Compound Haunted House: Now until Nov. 3

This haunted house is the first haunted compound found in the Denver area, so its reputation of being the scariest haunted house in Denver should come as no surprise. Legend has it that Brad Holder was building the house in the 1960s when he fell ill, died and was buried somewhere deep in the crevices of this house. Along with the haunted house, the bloody, abandoned House of Darkness is available for visitors to replicate the clown terror that took place in this exact location just decades ago. Test your fearlessness and see if you can handle the Frightmare Compound.

Broomfield Trails Marathon: Nov. 4

Lace up your running shoes and get ready for the soon-to-be largest running event in the Metro area of Denver. Offering full marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K races, this event is designed for people with all different skill levels to support A Precious Child, an organization that provides children in need with the resources necessary to achieve their full potentials. With the start-line located at Broomfield Civic Center, this course includes beautiful views of the Flat Iron Range, Rock Creek Trail, Deception Hill, Plaster Lake and various other remarkable sights that come with a backdrop of the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Set your alarm for the 8 a.m. start and get ready to witness Denver through this unique perspective.

Denver Arts Week: Nov. 2 to Nov. 10

With over 300 events being featured and tons of special deals, this annual festival celebrates all things art related in the Denver area. Denver Arts Week is showcasing well-known artists and entertainers as well as many of the newest Denver locals. Visual arts, theater, music, film, dance, comedy and history are just a small portion of the culture and imagination you will experience, and these artists and entertainers are eager to parade countless creations at Denver’s landmark museums and performing arts venues. Night At The Museums is on Nov. 3, so plan on exploring these galleries between 5-10 p.m. completely free of cost.
