Congrats ladies, we’ve made it to week three! But, how are we feeling? As our classes begin to pick up, the workload is getting heavier, inevitably making us a little (or not so little) stressed out. We know the drill — stay organized, exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep —but are we really on top of our self care?

Even when we set goals for ourselves, it can be easy to forget and get lost in the day to day demands of #StudentLife. If only there was an app that reminded us to do things, gave us inspiration and helped us accomplish all of our self-care goals in one place. Girls, say no more.

The new app designed for women by women is titled Sanity & Self. The app focuses on getting women to prioritize their self care with a range of podcasts, a community to engage with and encouraging reminders. The podcasts range from sleep visualization, learning how to quiet one’s inner critic, and even “Give Less F#cks! Live More Life!” Different categories within the self care section include personal growth, breathe, massage and journal, while the fitness section of the app offers guidance on everything from bodyweight to kickboxing to stretching.

Each podcast is led by a different professional, be it a personal trainer, yoga instructor or holistic medicine professional, many of them offering a different series to follow. One of the best features of this app is the ability to set reminders. Some encourage users to listen to a podcast, while others simply give that little extra confidence needed in the day. For whatever else users might desire, they can even create their own reminder with a personal message.

The community section of the app allows users to connect via sharing photos, posting their thoughts or questions and the ability to comment on one another’s threads. Users also have the ability to bookmark sessions they may find interesting for a later time.

The app is intuitive, easy to use and was created with a message that is clearly expressed through every piece of the app. We are living in a time in which women are more stressed than ever, so it is important we create a habit of making time for ourselves.
