Ski Resort OpeningsRIGHTTHISTIMEWith October in full swing and Denver’s first snow of the year close at hand, ski resort openings are becoming highly anticipated. Coloradans are chomping at the bit to get back out on the slopes and enjoy the Rocky Mountains’ fresh powder. Well, never fear, Pios. It is almost time to strap on those skis and boards and get up to the mountain. Although many of these dates very well may change, especially because temperatures have been pretty high lately, here is a the most recent list of opening days for the nearby Colorado ski resorts:

First to open will be Keystone and Copper Mountain on Nov. 6.

Breckenridge will be opening Nov. 13.

Next up is Winter Park on Nov. 18.

Opening day for Eldora and Vail is Nov. 20.

Beaver Creek has the last posted date of Nov. 25.

Arapahoe Basin and Loveland, which generally are in a contest of sorts as to who can open up first, have not yet posted their opening dates. Rest assured, though, the Clarion will keep you updated as soon as their dates are up.

Note: this article was finalized on Oct. 19 and does not take into account any events that have transpired since then.
