Forgery

Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 8:22 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a false identification card that had been found in Nelson Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers took possession of the card and determined that it belonged to a student.

Forcible Entry

Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at 12:10 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the removal of a lock and the theft of items from a storage shed at the Ricks Center for Gifted Children. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a staff member who stated they had determined that no items had been taken from the shed. However, they said the lock did appear to be missing from the shed.

Theft

Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 12:49 p.m. – DCS spoke with a student who came to the Campus Safety Center to report that parts had been stolen from their bicycle near Nagel Hall. The bicycle was missing its handlebars and tires, which the student suspected had been taken sometime in the last 48 hours.

Harassment

Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 12:22 p.m. – While performing routine job duties, a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) contacted a staff member in parking lot 315. The PEO asked the staff member if they had the proper credentials to park in a service-only spot and the staff member replied in a rude and harassing manner.

Detox

Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 11:22 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding an intoxicated student in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and determined they were too intoxicated to remain safely on campus. DCS contacted Denver Cares, who transported the student to their facility.

Narcotics

Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at 11:20 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a residential room in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they confirmed the odor in question. There were no residents inside the room at the time of officer arrival.

Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 12:25 a.m. – DCS responded to a report of marijuana paraphernalia in a residential room in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they found marijuana, evidence of intent to distribute marijuana and an unknown white powder. During a search of the room, both residents arrived on the scene and one took responsibility for all of the contraband items. Due to the unknown nature of the white powder, the Denver Police Department (DPD) was called to the scene.
