It’s early Monday morning and by early, we mean 1 a.m. We’re working on the new design of the Clarion.

In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve changed a few things.

As the Internet becomes our primary source of information, newspapers are slowly slipping into the shadows of our past. That is why we are incorporating a variety of new media.

In our online edition, you can now find podcasts, videos, slide shows, interactive polls and breaking campus news.

The print edition now has more entertaining features like Sudoku, the Sunday edition of the New York Times crossword, your online comments and Pioneer voices.

We hope that soon more students will pick up the paper every Tuesday and want to read it. That’s why we welcome all suggestions and want to hear what students think.

The Clarion has been a part of the University of Denver since 1899 and we want to see the paper continue to flourish. A goal of ours is to have a bi-weekly paper.

One of the most exciting additions for us has been the Facebook fan page and watching the number of hits increase as we post videos and photos after sporting events.

The videos are fun because you can experience the personal side of the story and really feel the moment.

With lots of 12-to-15 hour days dedicated to working on the paper in a small corner of Driscoll, we only ask that you continue to support the Clarion staff’s hard work and commitment.
