Keys stolen from Frontier Hall

A set of university keys were discovered missing from an office in Frontier Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.

A DU staff member had left the keys unsecured and unattended in the office around 12:30 p.m. that same day. She notified Campus Safety of the theft, who then notified Facilities Management.

Suspicious party near Cherrington

Campus Safety was called in to investigate the report of a suspicious male near Ben Cherrington Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 9:44 p.m. The male could not provide identification to Campus Safety officers.

The Denver Police Department was notified and was able to identify the party, who was found to be unaffiliated with the university and was escorted off campus.

Domestic dispute

A report of a domestic dispute was filed with Campus Safety on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 2:27 p.m. on the 2200 block of South High Street.

Investigation of the report revealed that two DU community members who had recently ended a relationship were engaged in a dispute over shared property.

Rental vehicle

vandalized

A DU staff member who had rented a car for university business in Costa Mesa, Calif. found the vehicle had been vandalized at an off campus location on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 a.m.

An unknown party had broken the passenger’s side window and removed personal items from the vehicle. The staff member filed a report with the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Hit and run

accident in lot E

A hit and run traffic accident was reported to Campus Safety at 4:51 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23.

A DU student had parked his personal vehicle in the E lot near the Campus Safety center on Oct. 22 around 9 p.m.

When he returned to the vehicle at 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 23, he discovered that the rear driver’s side of the vehicle had been damaged.

The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Fire in Sturm

College of Law

A fire was reported in the Sturm College of Law at 6:23 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 after a Sodexho staff spilled a lit can of Sturno on her leg and the carpet.

Though minor injuries and damage to property were reported, the staff member declined medical assistance.

ID confiscated from student

Campus Safety confiscated a fake identification card and marijuana from a severely intoxicated underage student on Friday, Oct. 24, at 1:26 a.m. on the 1800 block of South Asbury Avenue.

Paramedics transported the student to a detox facility.

Drunk student

at J-Mac

A Campus Safety officer noticed an intoxicated DU student near Johnson-McFarlane Hall at 4:18 a.m. on Oct. 24 during a routine patrol.

Paramedics were called in and determined that the student did not require medical attention.

The student was allowed to return to his residence hall room.
