Summer is drawing near again as the final quarter of the year draws to a close.
This can only mean one thing: May Days Music Fest. In the past, May Days Music Fest performers have included Braddagain, Opie Gone Bad and The Fray.
The longstanding tradition of May Days Music Fest will continue on this year, culminating in a massive music festival on the campus green on May 22.
This year’s lineup is absolutely incredible, featuring nationally renowned artist RJD2 and local favorites The Flobots, Kinetix, The Foot and Ubuntu.
Headlining act, RJD2 is an underground hip-hop producer that incorporates a variety of musical influences and instruments including samplers, synthesizers, keyboards, and guitars along with his vocals.
The Flobots are a popular Denver-based band that embody elements of jazz, hip-hop, classical, and rock music. Long-time DU favorite and a product of the Lamont School of Music, Kinetix is a jam band. Current student bands, The Foot and Ubuntu, were the winners of the Battle of the Bands last month and will kick off the event.
The event is sponsored by DUPB in conjunction with KVDU, Late Night at DU, AUSA Senate, Greek Life and the Student Media Board.
Be sure to come out for a great night of great music, dancing, and all-around fun starting at 3:30 p.m. and continuing on to 11 p.m.
