Shabbat 200
Shabbat 200, an annual DU event, is a chance for students of all denominations to participate in a traditional Shabbat experience including services and dinner. The evening begins with a traditional Friday night Shabbat service during which each part of the service is explained by the Rabbi. Afterwards, dinner begins with the different parts explained. The dinner is a full gourmet meal that will be served to students by the caterer.
After dinner, the keynote speaker Alan Veingrad, a Superbowl champion from the Dallas Cowboys will speak. Dessert will be provided as well.
While the event is the largest Jewish event at DU, it also has led to positive experiences for many students of various backgrounds, promoting a culture of knowledge and understanding at DU.
Event held on November 2, 2007 at 5:30pm
Registration required at www.shabbat200.com
