On March 29, The Starting Line played to a sold out crowd. at the Denver’s Ogden theater as part of their “Screaming is for Babies Tour.”

The concert opened with New Atlantic, a nice surprise for those who had shown up early.

Cartel was the following act. Cartel is a high energy group that really excited the crowd. Audience members were soon screaming and cheering in the action.

The pit was full of people pushing, shoving and dancing to the music. Cartel played a few hits and then introduced the rest of the concert.

Gatsby’s American Dream came onto the stage to the rush of the crowd’s wild enthusiasm.

After listening to Cartel play, the crowd was in the mood for some more upbeat music.

Gatsby’s American Dream performance met all expectations were met and fan responded enthusiastically. For a relatively underground band, there were a lot of audience members who knew most of the song lyrics.

Copeland, laid-back band compared to rest of the lineup, played next.

As Copeland took the stage, the band was greeted with an immense amount of welcoming yells and other signs of excitement.

With a good mix of guitars, drums, emotional lyrics, and eloquent piano, Copeland really mellowed out the crowd.

The poignant song, “Sleep,” was an obvious crowd pleaser as many concert-goers sang along to the simple but touching lyrics.

The slightly more upbeat yet emotional “Pin Your Wings” put more energy back into the crowd, but the crowd was not as crazy and violent as during the other sets. All in all, Copeland provided a much-needed break for the frantic crowd.

The Starting Line continued with an amazing stage presence.

The onstage light setup allowed the band to enter in a dramatic way. The lights continued to dance along to the songs as the band started its upbeat show.

The Starting Line, the headliners and obvious favorites of the night, played both older classics and new favorites to the joy of the swarm of punk-rock fans.

“Decisions, Decisions” got a rush of fans singing along and as the catchy chorus spread throughout the theatre, fans were delighted.

“Greg’s Last Day” was also a notable song for the night, judging by the energy that spread throughout the gathering.

When the show ended, fans cheered and yelled until the band came back onstage for a finale. Encore performances are apparently a rare event for The Starting Line.

After the concert, fans were rewarded when the guitarists threw their used picks into the crowd.

Overall, the show offered a wide range of musical talent.

Considering the large attendance, opening bands were welcomed with much praise.

Each band seemed to draw its own set of fans and fans could barely contain their excitement.
