If there is one place that deserves an all around 10 for both breakfast and lunch, it is Zaidy’s Deli located at 121 Adams Street at 1st Street by the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. This Jewish deli is both delectable and charming to the eye, and with a cup of coffee there is no better place to relax with friends and family.

Zaidy’s charisma is appropriate for its traditional Jewish-style cuisine and its Yiddish family heritage.

The deli is styled in a conventional fashion with booths and tables throughout the restaurant. Pictures of New York City set in the 1930s and 1940s, as well as Jewish family lineage, cover the walls in the deli.

These pictures tell stories and a history to the customers, which provide a family appeal. In the front entrance, there is also a deli counter for regular customers that love the traditional blintzes, brisket and pastries, as well as Israeli candies.

The atmosphere of the deli isn’t the only aspect that screams success. In fact, the service is just as appealing as the dCB)cor of Zaidy’s deli.

Every waiter and waitress has a smiling face and friendly attitude. They’re always willing to strike up a conversation, which makes your day that much better. The service is also prompt, so you’ll never have to wait, even when the deli is packed on a Friday morning.

If you have never tasted a Jewish cuisine, then I suggest trying the Lox ‘n Latkes for $8.95. This dish combines two traditional meals into a delicious revelation.

The Lox ‘n Latkes is a potato pancake sandwich with Nova Scotia lox and cream cheese, and with sliced tomatoes and capers. It is the perfect companion for a cup of coffee and the cousin to the bagel with lox and cream cheese.

However, if you are not a fan of lox, which is smoked salmon, then I recommend their famous Reuben.

This traditional sandwich is only $7.95, and it is worth every penny. Zaidy’s Reuben combines corned beef, pastrami or turkey with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing, all served on toasted rye. All of the ingredients blend perfectly together and burst with flavor in your mouth.

Zaidy’s Deli is also known for its famous homemade cheese blintzes with sour cream and fruit preserves. Traditionally, blintzes are made with a crepe wrap and are filled with farmer’s cheese, cottage cheese and of course flavored with sugar.

But Zaidy’s Deli puts a spin on blintzes by making a meat blintz. The meat blintzes are only $7.95.

They are served in the same sweet crepe wrap and filled with minced meat, which creates a delicious Jewish combination of salty and sweet.

In every aspect, Zaidy’s Deli is a treat for the taste buds. They put a spin on traditional Jewish cuisines from the “old country,” but are careful to keep homemade recipes the same.

Whether you are in the mood for chicken matzo ball soup or a Latke Reuben, you’ll find yourself in love with Zaidy’s Deli.

There is no question that Zaidy’s Deli is one of the best places for breakfast and lunch. It is open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and open at 8 a.m. on weekends. Their number is 303-333-5336.
