Hey!We want to get the word out about this great TONY AWARD winning musical and our audition – great parts for collegiates!!

The Evergreen Chorale announces it will hold auditions for the TONY-AWARD winning musical, Into the Woods on October 29 at Center/Stage in Evergreen. Into the Woods, written by James Lapine with music by Stephen Sondheim, blends various familiar fairy tales with an original story of a childless Baker and his Wife, who catalyze the action of the story by attempting to reverse a curse on their family in order to have a child.

In addition to singing the song indicated for the character you want, you should be prepared to do a one minute acting audition comprised of the following: 30 seconds of a memorized fairly tale/mother goose rhyme in a similar character as the one you want, and 30 seconds of PANTOMIME – either the same story or poem you just acted out, or continuing with the story using MOVEMENT AND GESTURES only.

The Evergreen Chorale will have a special screening of the filmed Broadway version of Into the Woods, on October 16th starting at 6 p.m. at Center/Stage in Evergreen. This is a potluck meal with the movie starting around 7. It will be followed by question and answer session and you can pick up materials at that time as well.

Auditions for The Evergreen Chorale’s production of Into the Woods will be October 29, from 9-12 at Center/Stage, 27608 Fireweed, Evergreen. Materials can be picked up now at Center/Stage M-F from 9-12, or by calling 303-674-4002 and requesting a particular part.

Thanks for your consideration – and see you in the WOODS!Gail MontgomeryEvergreen Choraleinfo@evergreenchorale.org
