This week when I opened up my Clarion, I saw an advertising insert. The coloforful insert said nothing of its subject matter on the front. When I opened it up, I found that the subject was something that is often a topic of conversation: abortion. Unfortunatly, this was a biased and one sided picture of the story, and had several factual errors (about Emergancy Contraception). But putting this a side, I thought that it was totally inappropriate to be included in the school newspaper. I think that this is an important issue to be debated, but a more appropriate forum would be the “Point, Counterpoint” section of the paper. By providing advertising in this way, you give a one sided and biased picture of the issue. Rebecca LipmanDU senior
