Smell of weed

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9:35 p.m., a resident assistant at Centennial Halls reported the strong smell of marijuana originating from inside a resident’s room.

Responding Campus Safety contacted the student resident of the room and recovered drug paraphernalia as part of their investigation. A referral to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition is pending.

Ladder stolen

On Thursday, Oct. 16, at 8:25 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole an unsecured ladder from Sturm Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.

J-Crack

On Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5:35 p.m., a DU staff member reported she recovered a marijuana pipe from a residence in Johnson-McFarlane Hall.

Campus Safety responded and confiscated the pipe. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Harassed drunk

On Friday, Oct. 17, at 2:10 a.m., an RA reported two underage and intoxicated DU students were assaulted outside The Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded. The students were uncooperative and refused medical and Denver police assistance. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.

Purse taken

On Friday, Oct. 17, at 3:47 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole her unattended purse from a nightclub in the 5400 block of Quebec Street in Commerce City. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Commerce City police was notified.

House arrest

On Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1:28 a.m., a DCS officer reported a DU student was arrested by Denver police for disturbing the peace at his residence in the 2200 block of South Josephine Street.

Car break in

On Monday, Oct. 20, at about 3:45 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) vandalized his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 103, north of Centennial Halls.

Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.

Almost 4:20

On Monday, Oct. 20, at 4:10 p.m., a DU student reported his underage roommate was in possession of drug contraband and alcoholic beverages. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. Residence Life was notified.

Damaged auto

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, at about 8:30 p.m., a DU student reported that on Oct. 18, unknown person(s) vandalized her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 103, north of Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.
