Christopher Stuart Bennett, “who was a thrill seeker and lover of life and someone who always tried to make you laugh,” died last Tuesday in a motorcycle accident in Dallas.

He was 20 years old

“He was a funny guy,” junior Daniel Byrd, who was Bennett’s Beta Theta Pi fraternity father, said. “The first thing you noticed about him was his smile. He was really active and athletic and did everything in an extreme way.”

A memorial service was held for Bennett in Dallas last Saturday.

Some of his fraternity brothers traveled to Texas to attend the memorial, Byrd said.

Bennett was a Computer Science major and a minor in the School of Art and Art History.

He took art classes like Creativity and Color Theory.

He moved back to Texas before the start of the winter quarter.

He had been a Beta Theta Pi member since the spring of his first year.

“He was a great kid,” Byrd said. “He walked into the room and brightened up your day.”
