Melted cup triggers fire alarm

On Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at about 12:15 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at the Ricks Center. DCS and DFD responded. Investigation revealed the alarm was caused by a metal lined cup in a microwave oven.

Fraternity kitchen vandalized

On Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at about 10:28 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) vandalized the kitchen area of the Sigma Chi Fraternity House. A DCS Officer responded and completed an investigation.

Wallet stolen then returned

On Tuesday, December 3, 2002, at about 11:00 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole her unattended wallet from her office in the Lowell Thomas Law Building. The wallet was recovered by another DU staff member and returned.

TV/VCR stolen

On Monday, December 2, 2002, at about 1:02 p.m., an Iliff School of Theology staff member reported that between November 30th and December 2, 2002, unknown person(s) stole a TV/VCR combo from a secured office at the Iliff School of Theology. A DCS Investigation is ongoing.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at about 8:27 a.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole a banner and damaged a light pole at the Shwayder Art Building. A DCS Officer responded and completed an investigation.

Over cooked

On Thursday, November 28, 2002, at about 10:02 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at the Mudd building. DCS and DFD responded. Investigation revealed the alarm was caused by items left in an oven that burned.

Wall map damaged

On Monday, December 2, 2002, at about 1:15 p.m., an Iliff School of Theology staff member reported that between November 30th and December 2, 2002, unknown person(s) damaged a wall map located in a secured office at the Iliff School of Theology. A DCS Investigation is ongoing.

Car broken into

On Sunday, December 1, 2002, at about 12:09 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) broke into his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot C, north of Centennial Halls, and stole the car radio. A DCS Officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with DPD.

Broken window

On Saturday, November 30, 2002, at about 3:50 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) broke a window at the Chamberlin Observatory. A DCS Officer responded and completed an investigation. Facilities Management notified.

Car broken into at sorority houseOn Thursday, November 28, 2002, at about 10:30 p.m., a DU student reported two unidentified persons broke into a vehicle while it was parked and unattended outside the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority House. DCS and DPD responded. A DCS investigation is ongoing.

Graffiti found in Centennial Towers

On Friday, November 29, 2002, at about 1:20 a.m., a DCS Officer reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti on a utility box at Centennial Towers. Facilities Management notified.
