All hail the king and queen! Yep, it’s that time again: homecoming season.
The homecoming dance is not until October 24, which means that it is now time to nominate people for royalty. In order to nominate someone, you must be able to give their full name, phone number, e-mail address and a reason that they should be in the running for royalty. This way, the nominees can be chosen based on personality and merit, not just popularity. Because the students chosen for royalty will be representing all DU students, it is important that the nominees all be well-rounded members of the DU community.
Two people from each grade can be nominated, but one must be male and one must be female. You are allowed to nominate just one person, if you choose.
Ballots are available on Driscoll, next to the Student Involvement Office. The ballots must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Oct. 7, or else the nomination will not count. If you know anyone you think would make a good king or queen, hurry and nominate them. Time’s running short!
