DU holds open discussion on ChinaThe Denver-China Forum “China and the European Unions” will be held next Monday from 12-1 p.m. in Ben Cherrington Hall, room 201. Denver hosts annual cancer walkThe tenth annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Denver Race for the Cure will be held Sunday in Civic Center Park and Sunken Gardens Park.Registration will take place from 6-9 a.m. and several races will be held throughout the morning.7 a.m. at the Sunken Gardens Park the 3 Miles of Men race will be held; 7:30 a.m. at Bannock and Speer Boulevard. the Women’s 5K Run/Walk will be held; 8 a.m. at Bannock and Speer Boulevard. the Family 1 mile walk will be held; and 9 a.m. at Bannock and Speer Boulevard. the co-ed 5K run/walk will be held.The day will conclude with a closing ceremony at Civic Center Park at 10:20 a.m. Singer Hazel Miller is scheduled to perform. procession of breast cancer survivors will follow.Proceeds from the races will benefit breast cancer research both in Denver and nationally.

Molecular art of proteins An illustrated lecture titled “Admiring Proteins: Art and Metaphor in Interpreting Molecular Structures” will be held Monday from 4-5 p.m. in Lindsay Auditorium. Jane S. “Israel Rocks” DUThe newly formed Hillel Israel Committee and United for Israel will be holding “Israel Week” today through Thursday.Today will be “Culture Day” on Driscoll Lawn from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will feature Israeli drum circle, food and music and Israeli dancers. On Wednesday, Israeli college students will discuss their lives in Israel in “Israel Speaks” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the second floor of Driscoll North. Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. on the second floor of Driscoll North the documentary “Israel Rocks” that depicts Israeli life will be shown.
