Remember when Kid Rock first came out with “Bawitaba,” screaming, “My name is Kiiiiiiiidddddd…”?

How could you forget? Since then, you probably can’t get his name out of your head.

And now he’s back, more Cocky than ever.

Kid Rock is touring to promote his new album, which is in stores now, and he’s gracing us with his presence by stopping in at the Denver Coliseum Saturday.

The April 13 show will begin at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6. Tickets are on sale for $33 each.

Cocky, Kid Rock’s third album release, follows his debut Devil Without a Cause and the 2000 release, The History of Rock. It features guest appearances by Sheryl Crow and Snoop Dogg.

But everything else is solely Kid Rock. His hard rock raspiness from “Cowboy” and “American Bad A**” return in “Lonely Road of Faith,” Kid Rock’s newest single to hit the radio waves.

“I want to be making great music that people can listen to in a lot of years,” says Kid Rock. “Music today is in a big fog, a haze if you will. No one’s sure where they’re going, but I like to think that I’ve got the best set of fog lights out there.”

With Cocky, Kid Rock hopes his will be among the music that withstands the test of rock ‘n’ roll time.

And judging by his past performances, he could very well be right.
