Students will soon be able to sip espresso and surf the net between classes.

Opening in the fall, the newly renovated Cherrington Hall, located next to the Mary Reed Building, will be the home of The Cyber CafCB). The cafCB), to be operated by Sodexho-Marriot, will feature comfortable seating for 48 people, along with jacks for laptop computers. Visitors will have the option of drinking espressos and soft drinks while munching on various snacks offered on the menu.

Other additions in construction will be taking place at the College of Law, which is currently in the final stages for the basement of the building.

During spring break, crews began excavating part of Driscoll Lawn to install piping for the building. To reduce construction congestion on Asbury Avenue, project officials hope to open an access road to the site off Evans Avenue between the Lamba Chi and Kappa Sigma fraternity houses.

Nelson Hall, the new residence hall for students, has a new tower that was installed in mid-March.

Contractors will remove the dirt pile east of High Street this month. The material was excavated from both sides of Asbury Avenue to allow installation of heater and chiller pipes from Sturm Hall to the Shwayder Art Building.
