April 17
5:30 p.m., a DU student’s father reported an unaffiliated adult male threatened her on April 14, at Centennial Towers. Campus Safety responded and advised the student to file a report with Denver Police Department. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
6 p.m., a DU student reported that between March 15 and April 1, unknown person(s) stole a massage mat from his residence at Centennial Halls. Denver Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
6:07 p.m., a DU student reported unknown persons broke into her boyfriend’s vehicle and stole CDs and a ring while it was parked in Lot 111, north of La Chateau Apartments. Campus Safety responded, completed investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver Police Department.
April 18
7:50 a.m., a DU student reported another DU student fell down a flight of stairs and injured herself at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Adventist Hospital for treatment.
12:20 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated adult female was verbally assaulted at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and completed investigation. Denver Police Department assistance was declined.
3:04 p.m., a DU student reported a small grass fire outside Sturm Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Denver Fire Department sprayed the grass with water extinguishing the fire.
3:35 p.m., a DU student reported an unidentified adult male intentionally bumped into her causing her to drop her belongings on a sidewalk outside Margery Reed Hall. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Denver Police Department assistance was declined. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
April 19
12:19 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed it was a false alarm caused by unknown person(s) knocking off a smoke detector from the ceiling.
3:25 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at the Chi Phi fraternity house. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed that a candle accidentally lit some cloth in the basement and caused the fire. Risk Management and Campus Safety Management were notified.
6:23 p.m., a DU student reported that on April 16, she was struck in the face with a bottle outside Centennial Halls. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing. Denver Police Department was notified.
April 20
1:47 a.m., an unaffiliated adult female reported four people in the new law school construction site. Campus Safety responded and identified three DU students. The students were referred to Citizenship and Community Standards for disposition.
6:29 p.m., an unidentified person reported he/she was trapped in an elevator at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed an elevator was stuck but had no occupants. The elevator service company was notified.
April 21
2:22 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) set a small paper on fire that was taped to a hallway wall. This tripped the alarm. There was no damage and there were no injuries.
1:07 p.m., an unaffiliated adult male reported he found a book bag with a DU laptop in the 8400 block of West Bowles Avenue, Lakewood. Campus Safety retrieved the property. DU Network Services was notified.
8:31 p.m., a DU staff member reported that an unaffiliated adult male was sending hate messages via computer at Penrose Library. Campus Safety responded and detained the male. Denver Police Departmnet responded and arrested the male.
9:05 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated juvenile male injured himself while participating in a basketball tournament at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety, Denver Fire Department, and paramedics responded. Paramedics examined the boy and advised him to seek further medical attention on his own.
April 22
11:05 a.m., a DU staff member reported a DU student ill at Frontier Hall. Campus Safety responded. The student was transported to her residence by a friend prior to Campus Safety arrival.
5:50 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole a safe from her residence at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
11:10 p.m., a DU staff member reported a DU student attempted suicide at an off-campus location in Westminster. Westminster Police Department was notified. The student was transported to St. Anthony Hospital North for treatment.
April 23
8:25 p.m., a DU staff member reported an unaffiliated adult female injured herself skating at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the female to Porter Adventist Hospital for treatment.
