The AUSA Senate invites all students to party the night away and rally for the University of Denver ‘s number one ranked hockey team, as it faces off against rival Colorado College on Friday.

The Senate will host a pre-game party, starting at 5:30 p.m., that runs during and after the game in Hamilton Gymnasium.

The party is a cooperative effort between the administration and the Senate. The game will be televised in Hamilton Gymnasium on a big screen TV for students without tickets to the game.

After the game, local bands Rubber Planet and Carolyn’s Mother will play. There will be a full bar for students 21 and older, and food and other drinks will also be available.

Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from any of the Senators or at the Ritchie Center box office.

“The party is being put on to increase school spirit and to support the hockey team,” freshman Senator Tyler Deweese said.

If the party is successful, the Senate hopes to plan a similar event in the future. It expects a large turnout since tickets to the game sold out on Tuesday.
