It’s that wonderful time of the year again as Denver awaits Restaurant Week. The event starts this Friday Feb. 26 and continues through March 11.
This two-week celebration of Denver’s culinary scene features the city’s top restaurants dishing up special dining experiences at discounted prices.
Participating restaurants offer a multi-course meal for two at the fixed price of $52.80, or $26.40 for one.
Since most of the restaurants participating are five-star eateries, this is a bargain for what you would usually pay for their top quality food.
Presented by Visit Denver, the Convention Center and Visitor’s Bureau, Denver Restaurant Week has become an event worth looking forward to for the past five years.
During these two weeks, restaurants will be extra busy, so it’s a good idea to make reservations beforehand.
Some restaurants to check out this year include Panzano, ChoLon and Euclid Hall Kitchen and Bar.
All located in downtown Denver, these restaurants normally have delicious, yet expensive normal menus.
However, during restaurant week they have outdone themselves by offering even more tasty options at the price of $52.80.
Panzano, located at 17th Street and Champa Avenue downtown, features Northern Italian cuisine with a modern twist.
Its comfortable atmosphere and friendly wait staff make it a great place to have a relaxing and delicious dinner.
For restaurant week Panzano is serving up delicacies such as crispy calamari, smoked mozzarella and tomato soup, salumi ravioli, and their signature tiramisu, among other restaurant week specials.
Panzano’s meals usually go for around $30 to $50 a person, so restaurant week offers diners a great deal.
Located on Blake Street in LoDo, ChoLon Bistro is showcasing its Asian dishes combined with French cooking techniques in a striking, eco-friendly atmosphere. Its restaurant week menu features small bites and small plates such as pork belly pot stickers and butternut squash soup.
ChoLon Bistro’s menu also had large plates including trout almondine and tamarind glazed lamb shank within a wok with your choice of Chinese sausage or ground pork.
Finally a dessert of your choice finished off the meal from Panzano’s extensive dessert menu.
Euclid Hall Kitchen and Bar opened up last Spring in LoDo and has seen booming success as a new downtown hangout and sophisticated yet fun restaurant. This American tavern focuses on international pub fare and has an extremely wide selection of beers and creative cocktails.
During this exclusive week, diners can look forward to a variety of small plates including friend cheddar cheese curds, seared diver scallops, oysters and bruleéd bone marrow.
For the second and third courses, diners may choose from a myriad of options including fresh homemade sausages and unique sandwiches such as the Stilton sandwich, oyster po’boy, fish and chips, chicken and waffles, and the Euclidean cheesesteak.
For dessert, Euclid Hall offers red velvet cupcakes, funnel cake fried bananas, and Irish car bomb floats.
Other restaurants participating include Maggiano’s Little Italy, the Coral Room, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Appaloosa Grill, JaJa Bistro, Ted’s Montana Grill, The Tuscany Restaurant, Sonoda’s and the Fish City Grill.
