MEDICAL

On Saturday, May 14, at 10:05 p.m., Campus Safety observed Denver Fire Department personnel and paramedics entering the Gates Field House. The officer entered the building and was told that an Argus employee providing security at an event had been injured when an unknown student attempted to jump onto the stage during a concert. The Argus employee was transported by paramedics to an unknown location.

On Sunday, May 15, at 12:40 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Driscoll Lawn regarding a student in need of medical attention. The reporting party noted that paramedics had already been contacted. Upon arrival, officers provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived and transported the student to Swedish Hospital.

Theft

On Sunday, May 15, at 2 p.m., Campus Safety was approached by an unaffiliated party who reported that they had witnessed a person stealing goods from a motor vehicle in parking lot C. The unaffiliated party was able to provide detailed information about the suspect in the case as well as a description of the incident. The victim was contacted and informed of the theft. Due to a long expected wait for the Denver Police Department, an officer escorted the victim to a nearby DPD station to file a report.

On Thursday, May 12, at 10:25 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a staff member who wished to report damaged property at the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the staff member who reported that the glass door on an oven in the house had been broken.

Drugs and alcohol

On Friday, May 13, at 9:26 p.m., Campus Safety observed Denver Fire Department officers attending to a student south of Ruffato Hall. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with DFD who stated that the student was riding their bicycle while intoxicated and had fallen, striking their head. Witnesses in the area had called 911. The student was transported to Denver Health via ambulance.

On Saturday, May 14, at 8:48 p.m., Campus Safety, while on patrol at the concert in Gates Field House, was contacted by an unknown party who reported that there was an intoxicated person in the Sodexho alcohol service area. The officer responded to the scene and ascertained the person in question was a student in need of medical attention. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the student to Porter Hospital.

Harassment

On Friday, May 13, at 11:35 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from parking lot “E” regarding vandalism. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with a student who reported that sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., an unknown person had punched holes in one of the tires on their vehicle. As a result of this, the tire blew out while the student was operating the vehicle.

On Friday, May 13, at 8:25 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Nelson Hall regarding the presence of several dead squirrels in front of a room occupied by six students. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the occupants who stated that they were unsure of who would have left the squirrels in front of their room.
