In the past months since the election, his actions have taken an oligarchal turn as per Biden’s farewell address. The first convicted felon and president-elect took no time in declaring a billionaire as his best friend and sharing his cabinet picks, which gets progressively worse and worse.

The laureates touch on several different topics like RFK’s opposition to the polio vaccine, fluoride in our water and the Food and Drug Administration. They outlined exactly how RFK will “put the public’s health in jeopardy.” This presidential cabinet nominee for the HHS will have detrimental effects on Americans if confirmed.
Trump’s Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi said during her confirmation hearing that she “will not politicize that office” yet she has agreed with Trump on how his federal indictments have been political ones. Does that mean she is not going after Trump if she has the most coveted law enforcement position in the country? There is nothing more to say about Pam Bondi as the Attorney General pick other than how she will be another puppet in the new Trump administration.
Pete Hegseth, the cabinet pick for secretary of defense and a former Fox News host, has repeatedly said that women should not be in the military. During his confirmation hearing, he went back on his word and said “Women would still have access to active military roles.” Speeches like these show how far he will go to get the position he is so far from qualified for.
America gets a compulsive liar and misogynist as the pick to head one of the most powerful militaries in the world. Besides Trump’s lackluster roster for his cabinet, no one has taken the phone away from him. Between his comments about purchasing Greenland to how he will take back the Panama Canal, a new supervillain is emerging. There is no telling what he will do in round two but if you don’t see me on campus, I have moved to Spain until further notice.
