The University of Denver released an email cancelling all study abroad programs for the fall of 2020. The email was sent out at 2:15 MDT on April 24, 2020. The University has terminated all Office of International Education (OIE) undergraduate study abroad programs for the fall, as well as DU partner programs and unaffiliated study abroad programs (AUP/UPP).
Students who applied for fall, fall and winter, yearlong, and AUP/UPP programs, may be able to differ to the winter/spring of 2021. They must contact their OIE advisor to see if this is a possibility, and they must do so before May 15. Based on current information, students may not differ to the fall of 2021, and they may need to reapply if they would like to do so. Winter, winter and spring, and spring programs have not yet been canceled.
DU has yet to make final decisions regarding the Boren Fellows and faculty-directed graduate programs. The Fulbright program has planned a delayed start from fall to Jan. 1, 2021.
Students are being advised to make plans for fall registration at DU. Students also should look out for an email from housing regarding the new influx of students that may be on campus in the fall due to the cancellation of study abroad.
If you have any questions regarding your particular program or the future of study abroad, DU asks that you contact your OIE advisor.
