After being on break and away from school for six whole weeks, it can be a bit of an adjustment to hop right back into the swing of everything. It’s easy to get into a routine, and for some people adjusting, it can be very hard. Especially with new classes and new professors, going back to school can quickly feel very stressful. However, in hopes of curbing some of the stress and anxiety, DU’s first week of winter quarter was filled with fun activities for everyone to get excited about being back at school.

Tie-dye world was one of the many activities put on for students as part of Winter Welcome Week. Hosted by the Fraternity & Sorority Life Team on Wednesday, Dec. 8, the event provided all the supplies for a fun tie-dye experience. From bucket hats to scrunchies, bandanas, and, of course, T-shirts, there were options available for anyone. Along with a few of my friends, we each successfully tie-dyed a bucket hat and a T-shirt with some help from those around us.

The event was held in The Hub and provided a fun and inviting atmosphere for students to come together and enjoy being back on campus without any stress from classes. In one of the rooms, different tables were set up with dye and instructions, and in the main room there were also snacks and cupcakes with sprinkles and frosting for decorating. It was fun to see so many people so excited about what they were making and talk about what they did over winter break.
