Early on May 21, the dean of the Department of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) sent out an email announcing the death of DU student Mackenzie Foster from the departments of psychology and emergent digital practices. She passed away on Wednesday, May 16; no cause of death was included in the announcement, only deepest sympathies and a list of support resources, such as the Health and Counseling Center, Employee Assistance Program and the like. There have been no further updates from AHSS nor from the university as a whole.

UPDATE 4 p.m. 5/22/18: There will be a gathering of support and remembrance for Mackenzie Foster on Thursday, May 24 at 4 p.m., held in Sturm 286, the Humanities Institute Room. All are welcome to attend.
