1. DENIZEN IV: The Annual Tenant Exhibition
Where: Helikon Gallery and Studios, 1675 Wynkoop St.

This yearly exhibit features some of the new works of 20 local artists from the Denver studio community, their eclectic work displayed across 14 spaces in the gallery. Helikon Gallery and Studios is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon until 6 p.m., for free, and is hosting a First Friday reception on May 6 from 6-10 p.m.

Featuring 10 local Denver artists like Emilie Luckett, Ben Siekierski, Crispysz and Blake Holland, this exhibit serves as a platform for weird, contemporary creativity to be pasted all over the walls of the gallery. In addition to being free and open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon until 6 p.m., the gallery is hosting a First Friday reception on May 6 from 6-10 p.m.

Mando Marie, an American painter, stencilist and graduate of the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) in Denver, takes advantage of a variety of mediums and techniques to create graphic work that expresses “subtle messages that can straddle a line between comforting and spooky.” Svper Ordinary offers free admission and is open Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Located inside The Source Marketplace, the gallery sits amongst a coffee roastery, a modern Mexican taqueria, a French bakery and many more merchants.
4. Declaration
Where: Robischon Gallery, 1740 Wazee St. (one block away from Union Station)
When: Opening reception on April 21, 6-8 p.m.
This exhibit will boast the historically acclaimed works of artists like Ruth Bernhard, Louise Bourgeois, Linda Fleming and Jae Ko. Offering free admission, this exhibit is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
