The Farmhouse, a recent addition to the Denver food scene brought to you by the Breckenridge Brewery, delivers a distinct dining experience unique to the region. Open every day for lunch and dinner, guests are treated to an array of American favorites with creative culinary quirks available with gluten-free adjustments. Since it’s tucked away between the Platte River and south Santa Fe Drive in Littleton, visitors can explore the eatery after a day of biking, tubing or hiking.
Diners can enjoy their meal in a variety of beautiful settings: the “great room,” the north dining room, on the porch or at the bar. The menu incorporates classic dishes such as the Tin Pail Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($14.99) or the Grilled Scottish Salmon ($18.50) as well as more contemporary dishes like the Pickled Beet Sliders ($8.50). The bar features fresh-brewed Breckenridge Brewery beer, of course, but also offers six guest taps from breweries like Grist and Epic, as well as two wine taps and an extensive wine list and cocktail program.
After eating, guests have plenty more to explore: they can play a game of bocce ball or take in the scenery in the beer garden, open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. until sunset and Saturday and Sunday from noon until sunset. There’s also a lawn complete with firepits and cornhole games.
The restaurant, brewery and taproom conveys the comfort you’d expect to find on a farm. It also hosts tours Thursday through Monday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., so you’re sure to find a slot that works for you. For just $3 you get an hour and a half to learn the ins and outs of brew-making and drink your complimentary pint of beer along with a flight of samples.
