In a recent USA Today article titled “10 best women’s soccer colleges in the U.S.”, DU was rated number one. That is some heavy praise from a reputable news source.

The ranking was, per the article, “based on the athletic success of the team, the overall quality of the school and the academic success of the players. This means that these are great colleges to go to for a great education as well as a chance to play sports.”

 By those standards, it is no surprise that DU came in at number one. The experience combines a quality education with top notch effort on the soccer field.

Playing in the Summit League Conference, the Pioneers have experienced extremely high levels of success in the past. 

The team is led by head coach Jeff Hooker, who has manned the position for 24 years. 

The Pioneers have now strung nine double-digit win seasons in a row, including a 2012 NCAA sweet sixteen appearance.

The academics side of the university speaks for itself, with a low student to faculty ratio (11:1, as well as 49.7 percent of its classes having below 20 students) and a graduation rate of 67 percent.
