Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 4:33 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of a laptop from the Delta Delta Delta sorority house. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a student who stated that they had left their personal laptop in an unattended room overnight and that when they returned to retrieve it, they found it was missing.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 6:40 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of bicycle parts from a rack near the Daniels College of Business. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with a student who stated that they had secured their bicycle to the rack at approximately 12:15 p.m. and that when they returned to retrieve it at 6:20 p.m., they found that both tires were missing.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 3:45 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of badminton equipment from the Gates Field House. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a student who stated that they had secured the equipment on May 6 at approximately 11:00 p.m. and that when they returned to retrieve it on May 7, it was gone.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 8:45 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of a Kindle electronic reading device from the Coors Fitness Center. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a student who stated that they had left the kindle in the facility while working out and when they realized it was missing and returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

Friday, May 16, 2014 at 12:28 a.m. – While on routine patrol, officers observed a traffic barricade that had been stolen from the university in a residential room in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. While in the room, officers confiscated alcohol and several other items that had been stolen from the university. The residents of the room in question denied having stolen any of the items.

Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:27 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a residential room in Centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room where they contacted four students, one of whom surrendered possession of drug paraphernalia, alcohol and hash oil.

Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:16 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a residential room in Centennial Towers. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they contacted five students and three unaffiliated parties. One of the students was visibly intoxicated so paramedics were called to the scene. The intoxicated student was transported to Denver Cares and the remaining parties were released.

Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 11:14 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the presence of alcohol, narcotics and stolen property in a residential room in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff who stated that while investigating a noise complaint, they found the items in question and that two students had fled the scene, with alcohol in hand. Officers were unable to locate the two students in question.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 8:51 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a fitness center member in need of medical assistance. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the party who declined any further assistance.

Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:42 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a highly intoxicated unaffiliated party at the Centennial Halls basketball court. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the party in question and called for paramedics. The unaffiliated party was transported to Porter Hospital by paramedics.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. – While on routine patrol, a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) contacted a student regarding a parking infraction. The student became verbally abusive and refused to provide identification to the PEO. A Campus Safety Officer responded to the scene and the student gave their identification to the PEO as requested.

Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:57 a.m. – While conducting a routine review of surveillance footage, a DCS officer observed a student and an unaffiliated party involved in a physical altercation near the Barton Lacrosse field. Officers responded to the scene and contacted the two parties in Centennial Halls. Both parties were highly intoxicated and in possession of false identification cards. Officers called the Denver Police Department (DPD) to the scene. The unaffiliated party was trespassed from campus and DPD confiscated both false identifications.

Friday, May 16, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. – While on routine patrol, a DCS officer was given an identification card that had been found by another staff member on East Evans Avenue. The officer determined that the identification card was false and belonged to a DU student.

Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 11:38 a.m. – While on routine patrol, a DCS officer was given a wallet that had been found near the intersection of South High Street and East Warren Avenue. While attempting to identify the owner of the wallet, officers found a false identification card belonging to a student, which they confiscated.

Friday, May 16, 2014 at 7:34 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a threatening phone call that was received by a student employee in Driscoll North. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and notified DPD about the call.

vehicular collision

Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. – DCS took a report from a student regarding a vehicular collision that had occurred off campus on April 13, 2014. The student stated that they had collided with a second student who was driving a rented vehicle while on a university-sanctioned trip. There were no injuries to report.

disorderly intoxication

Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 4:58 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a large group of intoxicated persons causing a disturbance in the Anderson Academic Commons. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted several members of the group, including one staff member, who stated that they were celebrating a Norwegian holiday.
