On Tuesday, March 4, DU’s Provost Greg Kvistad sent out an announcement to university staff and faculty that Daniels College of Business (DCB) professor Bob McGowan passed away last Saturday, March 1.

McGowan has also served as chair of the Department of Management and has been at DU since 1983. In that time, he served as the director of the international business undergraduate major, chair of the Daniels Technology Management Committee and the Technology Curriculum Issues Committee. He was also involved in university international programs, including working in the faculty of the Masters of Global Enterprise Planning program.

“At this time of reflection and sadness, please remember Bob’s kindness and many contributions to the University community. Please also support his friends and colleagues in the Department of Management and the Daniels College of Business,” the email said.
