October 1 marks the first day that healthcare exchanges will go into effect under the Affordable Care Act (A.C.A.), the law passed in 2010. Colorado’s marketplace website, called Connect for Health Colorado, opened this morning, allowing visitors to explore healthcare options available to them set up through the exchange. Though we will not be covering in-depth the first days of the implementation of healthcare exchanges under the A.C.A., the Clarion believes it is vital that DU students are able to find and explore the information to better educate themselves on developments and information surrounding a law which will have a major impact in Colorado and nationwide.
