The Native Student Alliance held its third annual New Beginnings Spring Contest Powwow on the Driscoll Green last Sunday. With music, dancing and booths for selling clothing and jewelry, the event lasted from 1-6 p.m. Open to all vendors, drums and dancers, the Powwow was free to the public. The event celebrated Native American heritage through dance, history and art. People of all races and tribal affiliations were encouraged to participate.
