vandalism
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 12:13 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call at the Kappa Sigma House regarding vandalism. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with a student who stated while he was watching television he heard a thud against the window. When he looked outside he noticed one of the panes were broken. Facilities was notified to repair the broken window.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 12:13 a.m., while at the above incident, Campus Safety officers were approached by another student who stated on Oct. 28, a window pane in his room had been broken as well.
LOST/STOLEN PROPERTY
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 6:38 p.m., Campus Safety took a report from a student regarding a lost or stolen wallet from Sturm Hall. The student reported the last time they remembered having their wallet was in Sturm Hall. When they realized it was missing they returned to Sturm Hall but it was gone.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 12:37 p.m., Campus Safety took a report from a student regarding a lost or stolen wallet from Centennial Halls. The student reported that the last time they had seen their wallet was in their room on Oct. 29. When the student went to retrieve the wallet on Oct. 30 it was missing.
TRESPASSING
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 3:01 a.m., Campus Safety responded to Centennial Towers regarding a report of an unwanted party pounding on the west exterior doors. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with the party in question. DPD was contacted as the party had an outstanding warrant. The party was trespassed from campus and transported to Denver County Jail by DPD.
On Sunday, Nov. 4, at 3:29 a.m., while Campus Safety officers were responding to an intrusion alarm at the Fisher Early Learning Center officers could hear banging on the east door along with multiple male voices. The officers then contacted a student who was punching and kicking the door. The student was non-compliant with Campus Safety officers, so DPD was called to the scene. DPD cited the student with criminal trespass and transported them to Denver City Jail.
FORGERY
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 1:40 p.m., while on routine patrol, a Parking Enforcement Officer discovered a fraudulent parking permit displayed on a vehicle in parking lot O. The vehicle belonged to a student who had been previously cited for creating fraudulent parking permits. The vehicle was booted and the student was informed that the vehicle is no longer allowed in DU parking lots.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 12:51 a.m., Campus Safety officers responded to Centennial Halls regarding a driver’s license that had been turned into the front desk. Upon investigation, Campus Safety discovered that it belonged to a student but was a fake license.
ALCOHOL
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 1:25 a.m., while conducting a routine patrol of Centennial Halls, Campus Safety observed three intoxicated students. One of the students was lying on the floor with an unopened container of alcohol. HRE staff was notified.
On Thursday, Nov. 1, at 12:14 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Halls reporting an intoxicated student. Upon arrival, Campus Safety officers found the student in question who was visibly ill and in-and-out of consciousness. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the student to Porter Hospital.
On Thursday, Nov. 1, at 1:53 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Halls reporting an intoxicated student. Upon arrival, Campus Safety officers met with the Administrator on Call who directed officers to the student in question. The student admitted to consuming alcohol at an off campus party. After evaluation of the student it was determined they could remain on campus.
