Medical

On Friday, April 6, at 8:57 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call made from Olin Hall regarding a student in need of medical assistance. Officers responded to the scene and contacted paramedics. The student refused transport to a hospital.

On Friday, April 6, at 10:15 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a staff member in the Sturm College of Law regarding a student in need of medical assistance. Officers responded to the scene and contacted both paramedics and the Denver Police Department (DPD). The student was transported to Porter Hospital via paramedics.

On Saturday, April 7, at 2:50 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call made from Centennial Towers regarding a student in need of medical assistance. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a group of students who reported paramedics had already transported the student in question to Denver Health.

Drugs and alcohol

On Wednesday, April 4, at 1:50 a.m., during a routine review of surveillance footage, a Campus Safety officer observed a student who was visibly intoxicated in Centennial Halls. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with the student in question who confirmed they had consumed alcohol. Officers also observed the student was in possession of a false identification which the student refused to relinquish. The DPD and Paramedics were called to the scene. The student was transported to Denver Cares via DPD.

On Friday, April 6, at 1:08 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff regarding an intoxicated student in Nelson Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question who admitted to having consumed alcohol. Denver Cares responded to the scene and transported the student to their facility.

On Sunday, April 8, at 3:05 p.m., while on routine patrol, a Campus Safety officer contacted a student who appeared to be intoxicated near the north side of the Gates Field House. The student admitted to having consumed alcohol and to being in possession of a false identification card. The identification was confiscated and officers contacted DPD to transport the student to Denver Cares.

Harrassment

On Wednesday, April 4, at 2:58 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student regarding solicitors on campus near the Kappa Sigma Fraternity house. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted three unaffiliated parties who stated they were attempting to solicit donations from students. DPD was called to the scene and all three parties were formally trespassed from campus.

On Sunday, April 8, at 2:52 p.m., while on routine patrol, a Campus Safety officer was flagged down by a student who reported they had been physically assaulted on the 2000 block of S. University Blvd. The student explained they were walking with an unaffiliated friend when an unknown male called the unaffiliated friend a racial slur and then ran towards them and attacked the friend. The student attempted to break up the fight; however, they were struck in the head by a second unknown party. Due to the student’s head injury, paramedics were called to the scene.

Theft

On Wednesday, April 4, at 1:19 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student regarding a missing laptop computer in the Newman Center for Performing Arts. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the reporting student who stated they had forgotten their laptop after attending a class in the building on April 3 and they had not been able to locate it since.

On Thursday, April 5, at 12:57 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student in Nelson Hall regarding a missing skateboard. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the student who stated they had forgotten their skateboard in the dining area after eating lunch and when they returned to retrieve the skateboard, it was gone.

On Saturday, April 7, at 8:59 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from an unaffiliated party who reported their jacket had been stolen from Craig Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the unaffiliated person who stated they left the jacket unattended on a chair in the main lobby for approximately 5.5 hours and when they returned, the jacket was gone. The unaffiliated party also noted their keys, credit cards and several pieces of identification were in the jacket. They were advised to file an additional report with DPD.
