On Friday, Jan. 27, at 3:09 p.m.,
Campus Safety responded to a call from a faculty member in Craig Hall regarding a student in need of medical attention. Upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with the student, who refused medical attention from paramedics.
Traffic
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10:19 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) observed a Sodexo employee who was illegally using a state-issued handicap placard in parking lot 301. The PEO contacted the person in question, confiscated the permit and issued a citation.
Theft
On Sunday, Jan. 29, at 1:21 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a request from the Denver Police Department (DPD) for assistance with a student in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with DPD who said two students were being charged with theft because they had fled a taxi cab without paying the fare. DPD said one of the students was in DPD custody and the other was last seen entering Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety provided DPD with an escort into the building where the second student was apprehended.
Drugs and alcohol
On Thursday, Jan. 26, at 1:31 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student regarding an assault in progress in the area between Nelson and Nagel Halls. Officers responded to the scene and, after a brief search of the area, were able to locate the two students involved in the assault. One student fled the area on foot and the remaining student was uncooperative, injured and intoxicated. DPD and paramedics were called. The student in question was transported to Swedish Hospital by paramedics.
On Sunday, Jan. 29, at 5:20 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff in Johnson-McFarlane Hall regarding an unaffiliated party who was pounding on the exterior glass doors of the building and demanding to be admitted. Officers responded to the scene and contacted the unaffiliated person, who was visibly intoxicated. DPD transported the unaffiliated person to Denver Cares.
Harrassment
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 4:28 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student and a staff member wishing to report an off-campus attempted sexual assault.
