With the Penrose Library undergoing renovation and midterms in full swing, finding adequate study spots can be a difficult task. In response to this need, Penrose@Driscoll, the temporary library, has provided a list of various other study spots which can be found across campus.

The Penrose Library website, library.du.edu/site, provides a list of 20 alternative study spots on campus. The study spots are: Centennial Halls, Craig Hall in the Graduate School of Social Work, the Daniels College of Business, Driscoll, Margery Reed Hall, the Music Library, Nelson, Nagel, Sturm Hall and Centennial Towers.

The website includes the times these buildings are available for studying beside the name of the hall. The list provides specifications of the amenities that each building provides. It uses a symbol to represent and specify the availability of printing, dining, wheelchair accessibility, wireless access and lockers. The exact list can be found athttp://library.du.edu/site/users/students/studySpaces.php.

Penrose@Driscoll itself also provides study areas. The computer lab is filled with computers and printers available for student use. The library has an area filled with tables where students can also study. Penrose@Driscoll is open 24 hours on weekdays, and 10 a.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m.

Though space is limited at the temporary library in Driscoll, there are many study spaces available across campus and the library is committed to helping students find alternative study spots while they wait for the renovations at Penrose Library to be completed.
