We’ve all seen the girls flock to these places for some fro-yo smothered with fruit and chocolate goodies. Trek no further, ladies and gentlemen – Nova has moved to University Boulevard.
The bright and colorful ambiance has been enticing students to come try one of the 16 offered flavors of yogurt.
Nova has fabulous translucent orange seats and matching tables surrounding the do-it-yourself yogurt dispensers. Next to the fruit bar is the chocolate and other sweet treats bar, as well as the cereal dispensers to top off your perfect snack.
The 100 percent frozen yogurt is made with milk from local cows with a variety of flavors from classic to out of the ordinary. Of course, for those frozen yogurt freaks, Nova boasts plain, coconut, strawberry and chocolate flavors. For those whose taste buds enjoy living a little more on the wild side, Nova also offers pomegranate, acai berry, cake batter, green tea, vanilla malt, mango and many others.
While there usually aren’t any sample cups left out, that is just another option Nova has employed for you to try all these flavors. Some aren’t bold enough to ask the rather uninviting staff sitting behind the cash register to kindly refill the taster cups, while others know how much more yogurt they can sample for free if they do.
But one cannot have frozen yogurt without toppings these days. Nova has a fruit bar filled with fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango and blackberries, just to name a few.
Nova does not discriminate against those with a true sweet tooth, offering Butterfinger bits, Oreo crumbles, M&Ms and countless other sugary favorites. With fruit and other toppings combined, Nova offers over 40 options to make your dish one-of-a-kind.
Walk in, fill your 16 ounce cup with a few of the 16 flavors, choose from the 40 plus toppings, weigh, pay and be on your way. The frozen yogurt is weighed in order to calculate your total price, at $0.39 per ounce. Frozen yogurt can be a high priced commodity as it is, one small cup of frozen yogurt with a topping or two can be more than five dollars.
Nova also offers a buy-nine-get-one-free card for its frequent customers.
Located at 2058 S. University Blvd., Nova is open 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. on Sundays.
