THEFT
On Monday, Feb. 14, at 6:46 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Halls regarding laundry that had been stolen from the laundry room. A student reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., on the same day, one load of their laundry was removed from a dryer.
On Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 11:10 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Towers regarding a stolen bicycle. A DU student reported that they left their unsecured bicycle at a rack outside the dorm at approximately 5 p.m. When they returned to the rack at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 the bicycle was gone. The student was advised to file an additional report with the Denver Police Department.
On Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 4:48 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity regarding a stolen laptop computer. A student reported that they left their laptop inside of a backpack in a common area of the house at approximately 12 p.m. on Feb. 11. When they returned to retrieve the laptop approximately 12 hours later, they discovered that it had been removed from their backpack.
On Thursday, Feb. 16, at 8:41 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Halls regarding a lost or stolen wallet. Upon arrival, a Campus Safety officer spoke with a student who reported that sometime between 4 and 6 p.m. on the same day, they misplaced the wallet inside of Centennial Halls.
On Friday, Feb. 18, at 12:56 p.m., Campus Safety took a report from Nagel Hall regarding a theft. A student reported that some of their clothing was stolen from a washing machine between the hours of noon and 12:30 p.m.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
On Monday, Feb. 14, at 1:47 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a staff member that a student was in need of medical attention in Centennial Towers. The officer responded to the scene and called for an ambulance. Paramedics transported the student to Porter Hospital.
On Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 10:25 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Nagel Hall regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a student’s room. Campus Safety officers responded to the scene, knocked on the door of the room in question and were admitted by the student occupants. Officers confiscated one marijuana pipe.
One Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 9:02 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call form Nagel Hall regarding an odor of marijuana emanating from a student’s room. Upon arrival, officers contacted a DU student who was inside the room in question. The student denied the use of marijuana and no conclusive evidence of the drug’s use was collected.
On Friday, Feb. 18, at 12:21 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Campus Safety officer observed Denver Police Department and paramedic vehicles in parking lot Q. The Campus Safety officer stopped and contacted a Denver Police officer, who reported that they had seen a DU student fall while walking along E. Asbury Ave. The student was visibly intoxicated so Denver Police officers contacted paramedics, who transported the student to Denver Health Medical Center for further treatment.
On Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10:10 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Halls regarding an intoxicated student. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the student in question, who was visibly intoxicated and vomiting. Officers contacted paramedics for assistance. Paramedics evaluated the student and had them transported to Denver Cares via a Denver Cares van.
Harassment
On Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 8:06 p.m., Campus Safety took a report from a student regarding a possible stalking or harassment. The student reported that they were being harassed by another student via e-mail, text message and Facebook as well as in-person
