Trygve Myhren, president of Myhren Media Inc., was elected to serve as the chairman of the University of Denver’s Board of Trustees on Aug. 31. 

Myhren, who has served on the board since 1995, succeeds Joy S. Burns Burns will remain on the board.

Myhren is president of Myhren Media Inc. He serves on the c boards of, AdPay Inc. and Jookt Inc. He also maintains advisory relationships with American National Bank and two venture capital groups. Myhren has served on several trustee committees of the DU board.

With this exciting change, many are confident that the university will have continued success in the years to come.

“The university’s momentum continues to build, and I know the trustees are committed to keeping it that way with the leadership of Trygve Myhren and Chancellor Robert Coombe,” said Burns.  “I have invested a lot of my life in this wonderful university, and like others on the board, I want to see DU’s star continue to rise.”
