Q: What year are you and what are you majoring in?
A: I am a senior and I am majoring in economics and finance.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Switzerland and lived there for six years. Then I lived six years in Spain and four in South Africa.

Q: When did you start playing golf?
A: I held a golf club before I could walk. I learned how to walk holding a golf club.
Q: Did you play golf in high school?
A: Well, I went to a golf academy in Orlando for sophomore, junior and senior years. It was a good experience and it was similar to college, just with more rules.
Q: How did you come to DU?
A: Coach Hoos, who isn’t a coach anymore, recruited me during my junior year at a big international tournament in Miami. I came for a tour at DU and I like it.
Q: How was the transition to college?
A: It took me almost two quarters to get used to Denver and college. I didn’t know anyone when I came and the years have flown by. We travel all over the country to play tournaments, which is nice.
Q: How has the season been going so far?
A: We’ve played two tournaments so far this year—I played one of the two. In the tournament I played, I was 17th out of 80. This year we have a very competitive team of nine and only five golfers get to go out so I didn’t make the roster for the other tournament. The team placed third in both tournaments of 15+ teams.
Q: Have you set any personal goals?
A: I just want to play as many tournaments as I can because it’s my last year and it’s always nice to play different teams and get out of Denver.
Q: What about team goals?
A: Hopefully we make it to the postseason and regionals and nationals. This is the first time I think we can make it to nationals because we have a very good team and that is what everyone is looking forward to.
Q: Are you looking forward to the remainder of the season?
A: There is a tournament next week in Kansas and there is another one this quarter in California. Then we start playing again in February and go until June. We get to play at Stanford on their course this season in the spring and I’m very excited for that.
Q: What’s your best score?
A: My very first time in America, I played in Orlando and shot a 63. I’m pretty sure it’s still the course record.
Q: Will you play golf after college?
A: I am thinking about it. It all depends on how the next half-year goes.
