Emma McKay

I am a sophomore at DU from a suburb of Seattle, Washington. I’m excited to be working for the Clarion for my second year now. Last year I started off as a staff writer mostly for the News and Opinions section (Opinions being my favorite). This year I’ll be working as a copy editor and continuing to write as many articles as I can. As a member of the social justice living and learning community on campus, I’m really passionate about human rights and activism. My goal in life is to find a job where I can help people in some way. I don’t necessarily want to become a full time journalist, but I think having my voice heard through my work at the Clarion has been a great opportunity for me to kick start that goal. I love to travel and spend lots of time outdoors! I am majoring in International Studies and French, with a minor in Business.
