Brandon Tate

Brandon Tate is a Fountain, CO native and first-year student at DU majoring in journalism studies. As a student at Fountain-Fort Carson High School, he served three years on his high school newspaper, two as its editor. He also served in a White House Press Pool representing FFC when FLOTUS Michelle Obama visited his school. He is deeply involved in news stories at the Clarion, and takes the majority of assignments in that area. He received his promotion to Senior Writer after two weeks working with the Clarion. Despite all of the shortcomings and curveballs that are thrown at him, he maintains his philosophy of “beat the odds” when the going gets tough. He looks forward to continuing to overcome these challenges and contribute his best to the Clarion Aside from Clarion and schoolwork Brandon is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs and causal Colorado Rockies fan. In addition, he is an amateur multi-instrumentalist, playing the bass guitar, mandolin, and DJ turntables. His favorite music artists are 311, Dannii Minogue, and Lil B.
