I am a sophomore and the Assistant Sports Editor for the Clarion this year. This is my second year with the paper and I served as a staff writer last year before taking over the position of Assistant Sports Editor in February last school year. I am a Finance major, so being involved in the Clarion has been a great opportunity for me to be able to do something that I love outside of my degree plan. Having written for my high school newspaper and served as the sports editor, I am happy to have the opportunity to be involved in the Clarion. I have a passion for sports after growing up playing every sport I could find and watching NFL with my Dad every Sunday during the season. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, whether I was playing or watching, and being on the staff has offered me a great opportunity to continue my love of sports and combine it with my passion for journalism. I have found such a joy in attending DU sporting events and being able to cover the games and also be able to inform students on the successes of our athletic programs as well as individual successes of our student athletes, and I am looking forward to another season with the Clarion and DU athletics.
