Letter from the Editor: Grace Carson signs off

It has been an honor to have been the Clarion’s Opinions editor this past year. It was my goal stepping into this position to encourage student voice to be heard, shine a light on the different experiences of the many different students that make up DU and to give a space for students to make sense of all the chaos taking place in the world. I can only hope that I have made the steps to achieving this.

To Jill and Kellsie, my first editors: Thank you so much for taking me in, teaching me how to be successful and helping me turn my rants into articles. You both inspire me, and I look forward to seeing all that you both accomplish.

To John and Ryan, my current editors: The laughter, love and patience you have given me have been endless. I know this paper is in good hands, and I have faith you two will make the Clarion better than ever.

To Ellie, the editor who will be taking this position: I wish you the best of luck. This position is not always easy, but it is always worthwhile. I know you will do great, and quite likely, will do better than I could ever have imagined.

To everyone who has supported me, especially my readers: Thank you. Truly. Without you, I could not have done any of it. I encourage you all to keep investing in this paper because it will never stop investing in you.

With all the love in my heart,

Grace Carson

Grace Carson is a sophomore at DU, and currently double majoring in journalism and political science with a minor in English. Grace is notorious for always reading at least three books at a time, her social justice rants, and being a coffee-snob.
